    Assembly creation

To create an assembly model you bind part models together using their surfaces and datum planes as constraints. Begin with a base component anchored in space to three default datum planes, then add components, subassemblies, and fasteners.

The assembly's BOM will automatically update as each component is added. An accurate assembly will build an accurate BOM. When you create 2D drawings from the assembly model the BOM table will automatically fill in using the assembly's current BOM data.
